COMMENTS: This video was my first attempt at a different sort of pace. It is different from EBLA in that I wanted to explore a heightened sense of perception by slowing down the clips, whereas EBLA was more of a character study into Mulder.

Similarly, this is a character study into both Mulder and Scully, and specifically, the tension and devotion expressed during times of need. For example, included are clips from DEMONS where Scully rescues Mulder from the brink of falling victim to his past and his intense search for his memory. Scully's support of Mulder's quest to uncover personal truths about his past is exhibited early on in CONDUIT.

Scully again provides guidance in the form of leash-holding in PAPER HEARTS, where Mulder's intense search for personal truths again lead him to become victimized by villains taking advantage of his vulnerability. Other footage showing this brand of Scully's emotional support include TUNGUSKA.

Mulder reciprocates Scully's emotional support in episodes such as ONE BREATH, OUR TOWN, MOMENTO MORI, and LAZARUS. However, Scully does not appear as receptive and presents herself as less vulnerable and more stoic.

Near the end of the video, I wanted to show a relaxing of tension to bring the themes full circle.
